![]() Now fast forward to many years later and Algol is resurrected and is now going to finish what he has started. Algol is forced to kill his own son and sacrifices his own life to create Soul Calibur to battle Soul Edge many years later and this explains why both swords went into conflict and everything in the trilogy happened. His son, Arcturus takes the sword without warning and becomes possessed. Algol used the sword Soul Edge to end a period of war. We’re then shown a flashback of Algol’s past which was millions of years ago in the Ancient era. The final chapter of the Stage of History begins. ![]() However, a new threat arises from the Tower of Remembrance that may be behind everything this entire time who goes by the name of Algol, also known as the Hero King, who sees that the final battle is approaching and is stopping at nothing to send the entire world into chaos as part of his plan and wants both soul swords and the Broken Destiny in order to obtain this power. And as for Siegfried, he is still searching for Nightmare as he wants to end his sufferings and destroy Soul Edge once and for all. Now, Kilik and his allies are training at Edge Master’s place to prepare for the inevitable final battle and for Kilik to finally bring balance to the two swords to end the conflict. The movie starts with a prologue that recaps everything that had happened in the second chapter with Kilik and Groh confronting and battling Azwel, Kilik being killed by Abyss after revealing the truth about his past and then he was revived by Elysium, Siegfried and Nightmare battled Abyss and destroyed him and Siegfried and Nightmare clashed with the two soul swords which results with the entire Lost Cathedral getting destroyed. I’m not saying who is going to die until we get to those moments, but just be ready for those parts. While it may be sad or not, I should warn you that there are gonna be many deaths in this story as some of the SoulCalibur characters are gonna be killed off emotionally and some of them will rather be deserving for most parts. So I’d say if you are a tearjerker that cry at things like this (sorry if I bought this up), I’d recommend you get your tissues with you, because this story is very powerful to read. While this final instalment is the grand finale of the SC trilogy, there will also be some sad moments in the story that will probably break the heart of every SoulCalibur fan which will be emotionally gut-punching, especially for at the very end but I won’t say until we get to that part. The main villains of the story are Nightmare, who is an obvious villain and is continuing his feud with Siegfried, and Algol, who will be the major antagonist of this movie and also the TRUE mastermind behind these three instalments as he was behind the conflict of both swords and now fast forward to this chapter, Algol is planning to do his endgame act by creating something far worse than the Evil Seed as he will plunge the entire world into complete Malfestation and force everyone at each other’s throats and in order for him to do that, he will be needing to create himself more powerful by merging Soul Edge, Soul Calibur and the Broken Destiny into himself. ![]() I would probably say that the Fate of History’s run-time would likely approximately be about 2 hours and 58 minutes long in total. I should also mention that this movie will probably be the longest one than the two chapters as this is a huge story with so many things going on as well as it is an epic culmination to everything that has been built up from the first chapter, likely in Avengers: Endgame’s and/or Lord of the Rings: Return of the King’s time level. This is the FINAL chapter of the SoulCalibur trilogy as this story will mark the end of the entire SoulCalibur story! I’m gonna be making sure to give this franchise a true send-off unlike what happened in SoulCalibur V, and speaking of that game, the events of that story being canon is 100% destroyed as the ending to this story (and the entire trilogy mind you) is different and it is a bittersweet one. This story will also be borrowing most concepts from SoulCalibur IV. The third chapter of the trilogy will pick up where the second chapter left off as it will take place approximately three months after the events of the Dark Destiny. ![]()
